14 Days Safari in Kenya & Mount Kilimanjaro Climb

Day 1 Nairobi to Masai Mara

Pick up from the Airport or Hotel and transfer to office for finalization and later depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival proceed for an evening game drive tracking various animal species and birds with your driver guide. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 2 Masai ara Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic Savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 3 : Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Early morning per-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Lake Naivasha with lunch enroute arriving late afternoon with optional of boat ride at an extra cost. Or visit the crescent island Dinner and overnight at the budget hotel.

Day 4 : Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru

After Breakfast visit the Hell’s gate national park, the park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes and the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contains two volcanic plugs, Fisher’s Tower and Central Tower which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs. Depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in the evening drop at the Hotel for dinner and overnight at a budget Hotel.

Day 7 : Amboseli National Park to Moshi in Tanzania

Early morning game drive and then return to the camp for a full breakfast. Later we will drive back to Nairobi to proceed to Tanzania through the Boarder of Namanga (between kenya & Tanzania) for another safari in Tanzania. Your Guide from Tanzania will be waiting for you at the Namanga Boarder. Pick up from Namanga by private vehicle and drop off at the hotel in Arusha

Machame is the most popular trail, and the one that many Guides consider the most enjoyable though more difficult than Marangu. The success rate of this trail is higher, possibly because it is a day longer at 7 days and 6 nights which gives trekkers more time to acclimatize.

Day 8 : Machame Gate to Machame Camp

After breakfast the clients taken with vehicles to Machame gate. The clients start to ascent to Machame camp for meals and overnight. It is almost 7-8 walking hours. It covers the distance of 16-19 km. (11 miles). Altitude is 1500 meters (4900ft)-3100 meters (10100ft). Habitat is rain forest

Day 11 : Baranco to Karanga Camp

Climb the famous Barranco Wall, then trek across ridges and valleys with views of Kibo’s glaciers before reaching Karanga Camp.
Distance: ~13 km (8 miles) Walking Time: ~4 hours Altitude: 3,950m to 4,160m Habitat: Alpine desert.

Day 12: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,640m)

A steady climb leads to Barafu Camp on a narrow ridge. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for your summit night.
Altitude: 4,640m Habitat: Alpine desert

Altitude range: 4,560 meters (15,000 ft) – 5,895 meters (19,340 ft) – 3,100 meters (10,200 ft) almost 15 – 16 walking hours and the distance of 30 kms (19miles) habitats are snow, and glacier. For your achievement, you will award certificates. If you reached Stella Point you will be awarded a green certificate, and if you conquer the Uhuru Peak, you will earn a gold certificate.

Day 13 : Barafu Camp – Stella Point – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Begin your summit attempt at midnight, reaching Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp.
Distance: ~30 km (19 miles) Walking Time: 15–16 hours Altitude: 4,640m to 5,895m down to 3,100m Habitat: Snow, glacier, alpine desert
Certificates: Green at Stella Point, Gold at Uhuru Peak.

Day 14 :

Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,800m)

Final descent through the forest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate before transfer back to Moshi for hot showers, meals, and overnight.
Distance: ~15 km (9 miles) Walking Time: ~3 hours Habitat: Rainforest.

Day 14 : Depart back home or option of doing safaris

Here the clients choose to turn back to their home place or to suggest another tours like doing cultural tours, visiting national parks or travel to Zanzibar for coastal and marine tourism with accompany by Mj Safaris.
