14 Day Uganda & Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Our driver-guide from Mj Safaris will welcome you to warm up for your 14 Days Uganda & Tanzania Wildlife Safari the moment you arrive at the Entebbe airport and you will be taken to your accommodation in Entebbe town to relax and spend the night

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will then proceed to Kibale forest from Entebbe a drive that will take around six hours. On arrival, you will spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge or enjoy an optional nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to see the vast biodiversity here; this will cost you an extra fee.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trek and optional Night Forest Walk

Very early morning have breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Briefing will be led by a park ranger guide and then chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National park will begin right after. The pant hooting like calling sound will lead you to the location of the chimps in the verdant forest. Later take an optional walk within the forest in the night to spot the various animals that are active in night such as the civet, bush baby, cricket, night birds, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Launch Cruise

Following breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National park from Kibale forest with a game drive en-route to you accommodation to see wildlife such as bushbucks, antelopes, lions and elephants and so many more. In the afternoon after lunch, go on another game drive or an optional Launch Cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins Lake George and Lake Edward. Some of the aquatic animals you will probably see are Nile crocodiles and hippos.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Go for a drive around Queen Elizabeth following breakfast early in the morning and explore the southern Ishasha the region popular for the tree-climbing lions. Ishasha which is situated in the

Albertine rift valley in the equator’s south is an extended underlying savannah plain. You will later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will dine and spend the night.

Day 6: Gorilla Trek and optional Batwa Visit

Go for a gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National park after taking breakfast early morning with a briefing session from a forest guide before heading out in the forest. The duration for the trek may last for around two to six hours basing on the gorilla movements in their natural habitat. Once you see the gorillas, you will be in their presence for an hour and later in the afternoon take an optional cultural walk and interact with the local community (the Batwa people).

Day 7: Transfer to Kigali, optional Kigali City Tour

Today morning you will have breakfast at your lodge, check out and proceed to Kigali from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will have an optional Kigali City Tour during which you will check out some of the impressive tourist attractions like the Gisozi Genocide Memorial, a few native markets, and the Ntarama Church/Nyamata Church.

Day 8: Flight to Kilimanjaro Airport

Following breakfast catch a flight at Kigali International airport for your flight to Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our driver-guide from Mj Safaris will receive you at the airport and then take you to your hotel to relax, dine, and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will then go for a five to six-hour drive for the beautiful scenery around Serengeti National park after taking breakfast at your hotel. Serengeti is the best place to visit all year round whether there is rain or sunshine it always offers rewarding wildlife views including Africa’s Big Five. As you transfer to your accommodation in Serengeti you will encounter a number of wild animals such as various antelopes.

Day 10- 11: Full day exploring Serengeti

Spend a whole day at Serengeti on a thrilling adventure of exploring the wildlife that presents in big numbers throughout the whole year. December up to March is a birthing season for the large herds of wildebeests and calves in multitudes can easily be seen. the large migrating herd of animals comprising about 2 million animals that visits this park attract a large number of tourists, especially in the peak tourist months. This large herd of animals is mainly attracted to the flourishing plains rich in zinc and iron. Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride early morning

Day 12: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Following your breakfast meal at the camp, continue your safari to the well-known Ngorongoro crater rim which is on the Eastern side of Serengeti in the North of Tanzania.

With about three million years in existence, this old caldera was at one time among some of the most incredible places in the world with forests that were sheltered, walls that towered over, a huge soda lake, and fresh springs. Along the way to the rim of Ngorongoro crater lake, you can engage in an optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge Museum. Head back to your hotel located above the rim of the crater to get a beautiful setting of the sun setting above the crater. Meal

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Wake up early morning and go down to the floor of Ngorongoro where you will see the amazing wildlife. This is also referred to as the “8th natural wonder of the world” and “Africa’s Eden”. This extinct volcano is huge and is characterized by sheet walls that fall a hundred meters down to a wide number of animals residing on the colorful floor underneath. You will be able to see sleeping lions relaxing beneath the sun with big herds of wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, and antelopes. The vulnerable black rhinos usually go back to the dense forests of the crater after they have fed on the moist grass in the wee hours of the morning. You will have a picnic lunch in the crater and later head back to Arusha for a calm evening at your hotel.

Day 14: Optional Arusha City Tour, Departure

This is the final day of our safari. Basing on your flight time there will be an optional city tour in Arusha during which you will visit the crafts market and other places of interest. Later the driver-guide will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
