6-Day Group Joining Safari in Tanzania
This is a 6-day group joining safari with nights in tents. The safari will begin in Arusha. From here, you travel to Tarangire National Park, then to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and conclude in Lake Manyara. You will go to the home of the largest number of elephants in Tanzania. Its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a stunning and different area to visit. Welcome to the “heart of untamed Africa,” the Serengeti.
Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport

MJ Safaris & Adventure will meet you at the airport and drive to the hotel in the heart of Arusha City, ready for the next day’s safari experience in Tanzania. On this day, you will be packed with safari briefs on the general safari plan, accommodations, and confirmation of the exact time you will be picked up to start the next day.

Day 1: Hike Mount Meru Waterfalls
Mount Meru is located inside Arusha National Park in Tanzania. Our 1-day Mt Meru forest trek/ hike is designed for guests who have limited time and who are not interested in reaching the summit of the second-highest mountain in Tanzania. During your 1-Day Trip to Mount Meru Waterfalls Hike will be soaking in the local culture by brushing shoulders with the many local people living up the side of the mountain while viewing amazing greenery and animals of all kinds. Our One Day Mt Meru Forest Hike starts from the Tengeru Cultural Centre, 12 km from Arusha town, along the Arusha – Moshi road. Tengeru Cultural Centre is located on the slopes of Mount Meru. Walk through the forest of the second-largest mountain in Tanzania. Mount Meru has more than 10 different day trekking routes around the lower forest, which last from 3 to 8 hours each.

Day 2: Arusha-Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the tour departs. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards, we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight at Kizumba Campsite

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We leave the highlands behind and descend into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Then we go to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife that is well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Nyani Campsite

Day 4: Serengeti National Park Game Drive
There’s no such thing as too many days in the Serengeti – today you’ll get to enjoy it all over again. This will be a half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park and a drive for dinner and overnight in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ready for crater exploration the next day. Dinner and overnight will be at the Simba Campsite.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Late afternoon transfer to Karatu.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park- Arusha
After breakfast, you will check out and depart with a packed lunch for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The lake takes up a large portion of the park, and the forest begins just after crossing the park gate, along the base of the Great Rift Valley, with the hot spring to the west. The famous tree-climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and baboon troops can all be found in the park. You will also see the magnificent pink flamingo, ostrich, Egyptian goose, and other animals. After your picnic lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive and then to a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai people’s various activities and cultures. You will arrive in Arusha in the evening.
